Going to university can be a stressful time for many students. In addition to dealing with academic pressure, some students also have to deal with the stressful tasks of being separated and separated from their family of origin, while some may have to take on multiple professional responsibilities. career and family. In this context, many university students begin to experience mental health and substance abuse problems or worsen their symptoms. Due to the unique nature of university students, it is important to identify important issues to consider during working with this population. In this exposition, first, the prevalence of mental health problems and substance abuse among university students and the importance of assessing the current age of onset of psychopathy are described . . Next, the disturbingly unflagging nature of mental health problems among college students and its involvement is summarized. Finally, important treatment aspects to consider when treating students with mental health problems are described, such as the importance of involving parents in treatment, communicating with other vendors and using technology to increase compliance. It is concluded that by becoming familiar with the unique issues that characterize the developmental stage and the environment in which students find themselves, practitioners will be better able to serve them.
